Founded in 2013, by Ava Vanderstarren and Fazineh Keita, Innocence Lost Foundation is a registered Canadian charity and non-profit organization for child soldiers and youth in Africa. Their aim is to create rehabilitation and community centres that provide a safe place, education, skills training and art and sport therapy programs. They bring healing and opportunities to former child soldiers and their communities after war .

Currently Ava and Fazineh, along with their board of directors, architects and dedicated volunteers, are fundraising to build a community centre in Kabala, Sierra Leone. They go to high schools around B.C. to speak and educate youth, involving the Canadian community in the process.
